So, I did a thing...

With the creative, talented, friend of mine, Susana Butterworth (you can see her work here), we directed a styled shoot-out in November 2019! We had the amazing opportunity to work alongside some of the best small shops in our area! This was our first time hosting a styled shoot and we really wanted it to be about the participants. Keeping the focus on both a beautiful yet easy going styled shoot.

The Venue

Since the most important part of this shoot was the location (that’s where the alpacas are after all), we were so excited when Sandollar Alpaca Farm opened up their doors (or gates) for us! Located in Kennewick, Washington, Sandollar Aplaca Farm is home to some cute alpacas.

The Cake

Layered Cake Artistry provided us with a gorgeous 2 tier, painted buttercream cake. It was absolutely stunning and worked so well with our jewel tones.

The Table

The beautiful, dark chocolate farm table was provided by Horse Heaven Hills Farm Tables. Complete with rentals from Amber Lily Event Rental and extras from some local antique shops.

The Cookies

The Hexagon Creations showcased amazing, geometric sugar cookies that fit perfectly on the center of the plates. We asked her to do whatever she wanted, and she delivered above and beyond!

The Flowers

No alpaca shoot is complete without some gorgeous flowers from MBSFlourish! The talented Mollie gave us two different bouquets for our brides and a table centerpiece along with flower necklaces for the alpacas!

The Stationary

Black Currant Creative never disappoints! She put together this custom suite for us. They fit perfectly with the rest of the decor items and the vibe of the shoot in general.

The Models

We were so happy to have two sets of models: one solo bride and one bride and groom model, who are married in real life! The brides soft and cozy fur coats were loaned by Threads Boutique, adding the perfect touch to these photos. Their dainty hairpieces were provided by Sweet & V.

The Crew

A team of seriously talented individuals came together and helped us bring our dream fall shoot to life that would be both unique and showcase the finest of their work. It would not have been possible without their enthusiasm and donation of time and talents.  Despite the cold, fall day, it was an incredible experience! It was an honor to work alongside some of the top wedding vendors in our area!
